New York Mets fans rejoice! While New York may be famous for their pizza and their hot dogs, there are a few more awesome foods you have to try the next time you head out to a New York Mets game at Citi Field. Here are the top 6 amazing foods for you to keep in mind at the next ball game.

1. Shake Shack
We are drooling just thinking about the delectable burgers, hot dogs, fries, and shakes that are offered at this infamous ball park food stand. While the lines at the Shake Shack can be endless, there is a good reason for it. They serve up some of the best food at Citi Field and their guests can never seem to get enough of it. You won’t hear too many qualms regarding the lines from these avid Shake Shack fans, especially not when it comes to grabbing a fresh, hot Shack Burger.
2. Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors
Four words: Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich. We might venture to say that even the most baseball skeptic would head out to a Mets game at Citi Field just to sink their teeth into this sandwich. A French baguette stacked tall with black Angus hand-cut beef, Vidalia onions, beef au jus, and melted together with a helping of Vermont Monterey Jack Cheese our mouths are watering just thinking about it.
3. Rao’s Specialty Foods
Rao’s is the new kid in town when it comes to Citi Field food stands, but it’s already making waves among its edible counterparts. The Lemon Chicken here is something that should be on any ball park foodie’s bucket list. These rotisserie roasted chicken drumsticks in a Rao’s home lemon cooking sauce will have you crying “Foul!” to anything other than Rao’s Lemon Chicken.
4. Pressed by Josh Capon
The restaurant sounds as signature as one of the featured dishes: Short Rib Grilled Cheese. You won’t ever able to look at your mom’s grilled cheese again after you try this masterpiece made with Taleggio cheese, black Angus short ribs, arugula, and roasted tomato jam. Now that’s a fancy sandwich.
5. Pig Guy NYC
Pig Guy NYC is responsible for what is possibly the most intriguing sounding dish at Citi Field, the S’mores-dipped bacon. This dish features a hearty slice of bacon on a stick that has been chocolate dipped and then coated in marshmallows and graham crackers. The savory, succulent bacon combined with the sweetness of its toppings make for an interesting and unforgettable ball park snack.
6. Box Frites
A meal in itself, Box Frites serves up a mean french fry with homemade dip. These thick cut fries are sure to make your mouth water when dipped in a combination of bacon aioli, blue cheese, garden basil, and chipotle ketchup. You may want to order an extra cup or two of dipping sauce, because you will likely be scraping it off the bottom of the cup by the time you reach the end of your fries. Delicious!
