Last updated on September 23, 2016 By Adam Nolan Leave a Comment

The Philadelphia Phillies fans are a proud bunch, not just for their wildly famous baseball team but because the food that is provided by vendors at Citizens Bank Park is outright brag worthy as well. While some stadiums have typical, bland, run of the mill hot dogs and nachos, the Citizens Bank Park provides high quality, uniquely fresh favorites for their fans at each and every game. Here are the top 5 foods you can munch on while catching a Phillies win down at Citizens Bank Park.

1. Crabfries

Chickie’s and Pete’s are the food vendor responsible for this famous Phillies snack with a deliciously creamy side of white cheese sauce. These crinkle cut potato fries are cooked to golden perfection and then coated in a healthy dusting of seasoning made out of super secret ingredients. This is a Philadelphia Phillies staple that you won’t want to skip out on.

2. Cheesesteaks

Cheesesteaks are just naturally better in Philadelphia, they have spent decades perfecting this rich, warm sandwich. The vendors at Citizens Bank Park have also focused in on creating the best sandwich to earn your dollar votes at Tony Luke’s. Their fresh baked bread is topped with thin-cut Black Angus rib-eye steak and topped with cheese and caramelized onions and then melted and served up for your tasting pleasure.

3. Fried Chicken and Doughnuts

Yet another Phillies fan tradition is Federal Donuts delicacy “Fried Chicken and Donuts”. This is a perfectly paired meal, with double fried chicken and honey baked cake doughnuts, it goes great with their piping hot coffee on a cold ballgame day. You can’t go to a Phillies game without taste testing this famous tradition.

4. Korean Fried Pork Belly Sandwich

It sounds strange, it tastes incredible. This is the brainchild of “Bizarre Foods” host Andrew Zimmerman and he lives up to his bizarre food reputation. This sandwich is full of batter-fried pork belly, gochujang sauce, grilled pineapple, and zesty chili lime sauce. Definitely a food worth trying, see what the fuss is all about next time you find yourself down at Citizens Bank Park.

5. Hatfield Dogs

This vendor provides a ballpark, and Philadelphia, staple at Citizens Bank Park. Offering a variety of interesting hot dogs, we couldn’t pick just one to salivate over. Two for your picking are the Asian-inspired dog, which consists of sriracha mayo and sweet and sour slaw served on a poppy seed bun. Another fan favorite is the Sonoran dog, which is a bacon wrapped hot dog with Tabasco mayo and topped with smoked tomatillos. It’s a sensational way to enjoy the traditional ballpark frank.

There is a good reason that Citizens Bank Park was awarded the “Best Ballpark Eats” in 2007, and they have lived up to their famed name ever since. No matter what kind of food you are looking for at this park, traditional or bizarre, Philadelphia Phillies fans won’t be disappointed by the game or the food. Here’s to a good game, and some good eats.
