1.  Gyros

Mike Isabella is bringing Kapnos at the Park… to the park. Serving up fantastic Greek entrees and sides, this is a fun alternative to traditional ballpark food. Gyros are the main feature at this food cart, with options ranging from lamb, falafel, Greek fried chicken, and chili-roasted steak. A few side choices consist of tzatziki and hummus. So many options, so little time.

2. Virginia Ham Biscuit Sandwich

Virginia Country Kitchen gives Washington D.C.. a taste of Virginia with their Virginia inspired food and drink menu. One of the fan favorites here is the Virginia Ham Biscuit Sandwich. Pure Virginian heaven made out of a buttermilk biscuit with apple butter, country ham, and cheddar cheese. It may have you reconsidering your living arrangements, and hopping on the next train out to Virginia so you can be surrounded by these delicious country favorites year round.

3. Fried Chicken Sandwich

BBQ is what Blue Smoke does best, and their sandwiches are proof of this. Try out their fried chicken sandwich decorated with tomato, lettuce, and Buttermilk Ranch all stacked on a brioche bun. Hearty, savory, and crisped to golden perfection, this chicken heavy sandwich is a knock out and will leave you anxiously anticipating the next Washington Nationals game so you can get your hands on it.

4. Chili Con Carne

The perfect accessory to those chilly early spring games, the Chili Con Carne at Ben’s Chili Bowl will warm your insides and fill you up.  A spiced combination of ground beef, green peppers, onions and cheese makes for a scrumptious ballpark meal made to suit the taste of any Nationals fan.

5. Duck Duck Dog

Haute Dog and Fries does gourmet ballpark hot dogs right with their mouth watering, juicy hot dogs. Try the Duck Duck Dog: a crisp, juicy hot dog loaded with cucumbers, hoisin, and slivered scallions delicately nestled in a buttered and grilled open bun. It’s a great spin off of the traditional hot dog and will keep your bar set high for all your future ballpark dog experiences.

Washington Nationals are set up for a great season, both in the field and in the kitchen. Head out and watch the Washington Nationals destroy their opposing team at the next game and enjoy a Duck Duck Dog, Chili Bowl, or a state of the art Fried Chicken Sandwich. Whichever delicacy you select, you are sure to be wowed by the savory flavors found in these amazing foods.
