5 Best Ballpark Food Options at Rogers Centre (2016)

Last updated on September 21, 2016 By Adam Nolan Leave a Comment

Toronto Blue Jays are the ONLY Major League Baseball team from Canada. For this reason, they have to step up to the plate in more ways than just on the field. They go above and beyond to stake their claim in the baseball world and one way they do that is with the food they offer. Full of mouth watering selections, Rogers Centre’s food vendors really bring the heat in the kitchen while the Toronto Blue Jays bring it on the field. Here are the 5 best ballpark foods to grab while at Rogers Field.

1. Sausage Poutine

Topping the list is what Canadians are well known for: Poutine! This delicious meal is cooked up at Toronto Street Eats and is made up of crispy fries smothered in gravy, caramelized onions, cheese curds, smoked farmer’s sausage, sauteed peppers and Peameal bacon sausage (cured pork loin rolled in cornmeal). It’s one ballgame snack that will bring even the pickiest fan out of the stands and over to the food carts to divulge in.

2. Porchetta Sandwich

Muddy York Market creates this amazing meal for even the most intense sandwich lover. The Porchetta Sandwich is placed on ciabatta and topped with mustard, aioli, arugula, and provolone. This sandwich means business and is sure to sell out fast so get one before they’re all gone.

3. Roast Beef Dip Sandwich

Another A-plus sandwich is the Distillery District Roast Beef Dip, again created by the Muddy York Market. This rich meal combined jus, tangy horseradish mayo, rocket greens, crunchy red onion and roasted garlic aioli. Heaped together and place don an herb baguette, this is a big league sandwich you won’t want to miss out on.

4. Big Smoke Jerk Chicken Nachos

Can you tell Muddy York Market is a prime location at Rogers Centre? Yet another delicacy designed by this food cart is the Big Smoke Jerk Chicken Nachos. It’s a perfect mixture of cheddar cheese sauce, Pico de Gallo, scallions, jerk-infused sour cream, country slaw, and smoked jerk chicken. You pick the next part: place it in a bun to make a great sandwich or put it on some chips for a delicious nacho meal.

5. Bill Cosby Triple Decker

Shopsy makes this outrageously good sandwich, the Bill Cosby Triple Decker. Featuring corned beef, Swiss cheese, pastrami and a whopping three slices of bread this is a filling option to enjoy at a fun Blue Jays game.

Which of these five foods is going to be first on your list? The verdict isn’t out yet on which meal is number one, but no matter which you go with you won’t be disappointed. Next time you stop in at Rogers Centre to catch a Toronto Blue Jays win, grab a few of these selections and decide which one wins your heart.
