Cost: Free
Download link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myfitnesspal.android
This is the most popular food tracking app out there. They have the most comprehensive list of foods, making it easy to track your food. You can scan a barcode or search for a food item by name or brand. You can feel confident about the foods listed in the search because when users submit calorie counts for submission to the database, there is a team of people at Under Armour, the parent company of My Fitness Pal, who verify the information. You can add friends on the app and share your food logs with them. This can be especially helpful if you have a personal trainer or nutritionist as they can see what you are eating and help you adjust your food intake to better suit your needs. You can also keep a blog, share pictures of your food and much more with the app.
Fitbit

You can even save your favorite foods so you can easily choose them in the app. In addition to the food intake you can also track your water intake. If you have a Fitbit then you can track much more than just this. The app even syncs with My Fitness Pal for people who like the greater food choices and don’t want to enter their food twice (if you are using the app for other means, such as activity tracking).
